From the start of my four year court journey, dates have constantly changed. After reviewing the prosecutor’s factum we realized we needed more time so we asked the court to provide new dates. Last week we learned the Ontario Court of Appeal has set aside May 7 and 8 to hear the federal government’s appeal of R v. Mernagh.
A massive quantity of hashish worth at least $860 million destined for the Port of Montreal was seized by authorities in Pakistan and Europe after a two-year investigation that involved the RCMP.

The Health Officers’ Council of BC endorsed a report Thursday from the Stop the Violence BC coalition – an organization that includes doctors and four former Vancouver mayors.
The report recommends dumping pot prohibition following the failure of anti-drug laws to curb the supply and use of marijuana while wasting millions in taxpayers’ dollars.
Neither Ripley nor countless New Mexico residents would believe it, but Republican Gov. Susana Martinez signed a marijuana bill on Monday. Martinez, who was a prosecutor for 25 years, spent half her lifetime fighting the war on drugs.
